Be Wise Ranch Event 2/2/2012

UPDATE: IMPORTANT EYE GNAT SITUATION!
Dear Organic Supporter,
On November 9, 2011, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors held a hearing concerning the eye gnat issue here in the San Pasqual Valley of Escondido. It was concluded that a group would be formed to propose a plan and come up with valid measures to help reduce and control the eye gnat problem. The group was formed, met on several occasions and after much debate the group is ready to make the proposal public. BeWiseRanchEvent2_2_12

At the Eye Gnat meeting last night, (I guessed 350 people) they said they were going to take comments for the next ten days that would go to the County Board of Supervisors. 1 comment per day per person in a household can be sent. Now is the time to make your voice heard in support of Be Wise Farm, they have been working with the county and coming up with solutions they just need the time to implement them and test them. Some people with the problem in their yards do not want to allow that time and I am sure they will be writing their comments each and every day. Here is the website with information and reports about the issue. http://www.sdvector.com/ – They also have 2 designs for traps that you can make yourself. People who had the problem on their property wanted to know where these could be commercially purchased or what steps (pesticides they could use themselves). If you know of some solutions let them know in your letter. Some of the neighbors appreciate Organics and some do not.
