Slow Food San Diego is excited to present a Moroccan cooking class with award-winning author, Kitty Morse. Kitty was born in Casablanca to a French mother and British father. She emigrated to the U.S. at age seventeen and went on to teach the intricacies of Moroccan cuisine in cooking schools and department stores nationwide. In 2002, she conducted a Culinary Concert on Moroccan culture and cuisine hosted by Julia Child. From 1983 to 2007, Kitty organized annual culinary and cultural tours to Morocco. She is the author of nine cookbooks and her memoir, Mint Tea & Minarets: A Banquet of Moroccan Memories. Books will be available for purchase and signing at event.

Cafe Merlot is located in the Bernardo Winery, the oldest family-run working winery in Southern California.
