Our Slow Food San Diego workday at the school garden (LEAF) at Lilac Elementary School in Valley Center is next Sunday 11/17/13.
We will be enjoying a potluck lunch also. Please RSVP to Slow Food San Diego email@example.com
Our main goal for the workday is to build 2 wooden raised beds in the garden. In addition to needing some helping hands we could use a few people with basic carpentry experience and/or experience building wooden raised beds.
Time: 8:30am – 4pm.

What to bring: Good work shoes (closed toe), gloves, long sleeve shirt and hat for the sun. Any basic tools that you may have such as hammers, saws and drills for wood. (Electricity is available and we already have plenty of shovels, rakes and hoes.) Folding chair if you have one. Your utensils, cups and drinks for the lunch.

Lilac Educational Agricultural Farm (LEAF) was created on the school grounds of Lilac Elementary School in May of 2012 to teach the students about sustainable farming and healthy habits and to nuture a love of agriculture.
